The adventure starts here!

Day 2 – Old Port City & Cyclo Tour

What better place to explore first, than Vietnam’s bustling capital city of Hanoi?!

Prepare for a jam-packed day with our Old Port City Tour & Hanoi Cyclo Tour where you’ll get to experience reflective Hoan Kiem Lake, the Quan De Temple, Hoa Lo Prison, then the Women’s Museum. After that, get a transfer to a locally famous noodle restaurant which Barack Obama visited and ate at during his time in Vietnam! Time to try out authentic Vietnamese cuisine for the first time.

Meals Included: Lunch

Days 3-4 – Ha Long Bay Tour

Time to pack up and transfer from Hanoi to the boat port for our departure to Ha Long Bay! Cameras at the ready for this totally instagrammable and jaw-dropping mini-cruise!  Spend the next few days sleeping on the boat whilst exploring this fantastic area, floating above the crystal clear waters of a UNESCO World Heritage Site! This globally-popular location, where mountains shoot up from out of the sea, hosts some of the most stunning Asian sunsets and sunrises! So grab a beer, sit back and take in the view…

You will have the opportunity to explore caves, enjoy swimming and kayaking in the warm emerald green waters of Ha Long Bay as well as exploring Cat Ba island which is home to the almost extinct Cat Ba Langur Monkey (Only 50 are left in the world so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!).

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner on the cruise.

Day 5 – Hanoi Free Day

Today is yours to explore Hanoi one final time, at your own pace. Be sure to speak to our dedicated Camp representatives for some inside recommendations and travel tips!

Why not take a wander around the winding streets of the Old Quarter? Have a picnic by the infamous Hoan Kiem lake or do some shopping in a traditional Vietnamese street market! If you’re looking for something more adventurous, you can also check out the Trill Rooftop Swimming pool (Totally Insta-grammable!) or Tay Ho Water park.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 6 – Hanoi to Ninh Binh UNESCO World Heritage Site

This morning we’ll take a drive from Hanoi to Trang An Scenic Complex in Ninh Binh – a land of several mysteriously deep lakes, another UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed since 2014. If you’ve not yet heard of Ninh Binh, give this place a quick google and prepare to be outstanded by the beauty of reflective lakes and towering mountains! Situated 92 km south of Hanoi, Ninh Binh is famous for the relics of the ancient capital city in Hoa Lu and the breathtaking landscape often dubbed as “Ha Long Bay on Land”.

On arrival, we will stop at local restaurants for you to get lunch then take a sampan tour through lush rice fields and rocky outcrops and visit Trang An Complex Landscape. Cameras at the ready, as today boasts a huge variety of beautiful landscapes that will not disappoint!

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 7 – Hike Hang Mua Mountain

Prepare yourself for a short hike today as we climb 500 steps up vertically to the top of Hang

Mua Mountain, where you’ll experience spectacular panoramic views down to Ninh Binh lakes and mountains!  After the hike, we will have a chill walk to the Hoa Lu Ancient temple, then go for a local lunch. Chill in the afternoon before hopping on to the overnight bus to Phong Nha!

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 8 – The Duck Farm

Welcome to Phong Nha! Arrive early in the morning around 6am, drop your bags at the hotel, get an early check-in bed and catch up on your sleep for a couple of hours or explore the local area! After lunch, get picked up for an amazingly strange (but epic!) ‘Vietnamese’ experience: The-Duck-Stop local farm. Embrace yourself in local culture and meet the family that owns the farm to learn all about their way of life. Upon arrival, grab a beer and prepare for them to tell you their very unique story. Head into the duck pen yourself, feed the mass of Vietnamese ducks that live on the farm (including 100s of pure white baby ducklings!). We know this sounds a little crazy, but trust us it’s the most wholesome, authentic, and random experience you’ll ever have!

Later in the afternoon head to the stunning Bong Lai Valley for a peaceful sunset beer/cocktail over the countryside farm.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 9 – Paradise Cave

Good Morning, you woke up in Vietnam! After breakfast, grab your swimsuit for another unforgettable adventure – today we’re headed to the Paradise Cave! Our local guide will lead you to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang area, one of Vietnam’s largest and most beautiful National parks! Cameras at the ready to enter the magical aura of paradise cave! Marvel at the ruins and clamber through the rocky terrain.

Later, head back Phong Nha for a free evening to spend as you wish. We personally recommend relaxing with a traditional rejuvenating Vietnamese stone massage nearby or heading out to Easy Tiger restaurant and bar for some drinks then get a good night sleep in preparation for a jam-packed day tomorrow!

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 10 – Phong Nha to Hue – Abandoned Water Park

Rise and Shine, prepare for an early start this morning as we transfer from Phong Nha to Hue. Arriving in Hue around 12pm, have time to refresh and chill in your hotel.

Once the old imperial capital of Vietnam, Hue holds the treasures of the country’s royal past and is riddled with history and culture! In the afternoon, we’ll head to Thuy Tien Water Park. The park has been abandoned for years and now is a favorite checkin point for tourists who love a mysterious adventure and unique photograph opportunity! Featuring abandoned water slides, cracking aquarium tanks and a whole building in the shape of a dragon head!

This evening, head back to town for dinner and maybe check out some bars or local hangout places. We recommend checking out ‘Brown Eyes Bar’ for a unique and quirky experience!

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 11 – Hue Imperial Forbidden City

This morning we take an adventure to the Forbidden City, where you’ll gain insight into Vietnam’s imperial history. From the hotel we will walk through the Truong Tien bridge to the Citadel, then get into the Forbidden City, once home to Vietnam’s royalty: the emperor and his family. Prepare to explore an abundance of picturesque Vietnamese temples and pagodas before heading back into town for a group meal and a pub crawl in the evening!

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 12 – Hai Van Pass – Da Nang

After having breakfast at the hotel, you’ll travel to Hoi An by open-top Army Jeep! These are the old vehicles used throughout Vietnam since the wartime, and a very traditional way to travel throughout Hoi An!

Whilst the journey to Da Nang is around 5 hours, we’ll be making various exciting stops along the way –  including stopping for lunch by the beach at the top of Hai Van pass to enjoy the breathtaking views there! We’ll make our way up the Hai Van Pass to some viewpoints with awesome photo opportunities overlooking the coast and the train tracks surrounded with French colonial buildings in ruins. We will also descend down the other side of the pass and head to the beach for a dip in the crystal blue lagoons before continuing with the journey!

Arrive to Da Nang at around 5pm. Spend the evening chilling in a local restaurant/bar and explore the beautiful lantern town by night.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 13 – White Water Rafting

Today is for your inner adventurer! Grab a helmet, hop into a big yellow raft, and get ready for a full day of wet, wild and adventurous group fun as we white water raft down the roaring river of Hoa Phu Tanh! (around 40 minutes from Da Nang). Prepare to get a little (maybe a lot) wet…

In the evening, enjoy a free evening to relax or take part in some optional activities! Feel free to visit a roof-top pool bar or get a traditional Vietnamese fish-massage to relax before another busy day tomorrow.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 14 – Hoi An – Eco Green Adventure

After breakfast, let’s take the eco green trip to Cam Thanh village. Visit the bamboo handicraft area, explore the water coconut forest on traditional Vietnamese bamboo basket boats, learn to paddle bamboo basket boats from the local people and watch a bamboo basket boat performance. Other optional activities include crab catching and boat racing if you are feeling energetic!

In the afternoon, why not spend some time exploring Hoi An town or indulge in delicious local Vietnamese cuisine. Hoi An is a food hub in Vietnam, most famous for the traditional dish ‘Cau Lau’ which is only served in this district! An Bang Beach is also a beautiful place to spend the evening – boasting a beautiful palm-fringed beach where you can catch some rays and indulge in a beer (or five!).

Meals Included: Breakfast

Days 15-17 – Community Projects – Teaching in local schools & Pagodas

The next few days are all about making a real difference in the local communities with teaching English as a foreign language. You will be given the extraordinarily unique opportunity to teach in local pagodas ran by monks, engaging the cutest Vietnamese children with fun games and activities to improve their basic English skills.

You will get an immersive opportunity to really integrate with the locals and may even get to meet the monks and be taught Buddhism and Taoism from the higher monks – a true once in a lifetime opportunity!

A typical teaching day starts at around 9am and finishes around 4pm. The evenings are yours to spend as you wish. After the class people can enjoy several additional activities, i.e. biking around the local village, head to the beach to top-up the tan, or even try sugar cane juice at local shops or learn to make Vietnamese fresh spring rolls with locals!

Meals Included: Lunch provided at local project.

Day 18 – Cham Island Snorkelling

Good morning! Get up early at 7:15am to get transferred to Cua Dai harbor. From here, it will take half an hour to Cham Islands by speedboat. Upon arrival, have a short tour to the local area and witness the trading activities of local merchants and fishermen.

After that, hop on a Vietnamese traditional wooden boat and sail out to the gulf for some snorkeling and diving, then back on a beautiful beach getting your tan on.  A local seafood spot will be available on the beach later to help you recharge energy and prepare you for more snorkelling in the afternoon! Keep your eyes peeled for colourful coral, exotic fish, turtles and even manta rays!

This evening before sunset, we will spend some time cleaning up the beach with bags supplied by our hosts, in an attempt to do our bit to help keep the island and ocean clean – a very important community project for us here at Camp Vietnam! In the evening, get transferred back to Cua Dai harbor and spend the evening checking out a local restaurant or bar with your fellow campers.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 19 – Free Day & Farewell Dinner

Time to say farewell after an amazing trip!

Spend your last day chilling around the town or on the local palm-fringed beach or do some last minute souvenir shopping in the local markets. In the evening there will be a dinner arranged for everyone to get together before heading back home or on their onward travel. This will be your last chance to experience the Hoi An nightlife – let’s go out with a bang and make some truly unforgettable memories!

Meals Included: Farewell dinner.
